SSL products are consisted of many different parts, such as LED lightsource, electronics, optics, etc. The failure of each single component might induce the total system failure. Dr. Yuan have developed a statistical approach for the system reliability since 2013. He applied the concepts of (1) fault tree (2) Bayesian network and (3) Markov Chain. Moreover, Dr. Yuan have introducing the Physics of Failure into this modeling method.

This system reliability approach has been proven its capability in prediction of the lumen decay, colour shift and the electronic failures. We provide project / consultancy service regarding to this.

Fast qualification

LED is robust, and it is difficult to fail. On the other hand, LED is easy to fail unexpectedly under improper usage and design. IES LM-70 requires 6,000 hours test, which is approximately 10 months long. Dr. Yuan and his team applied the environmental heat acceleration concept and developed the accelerated test method for SSL products since 2012. The results induce 1 China national standards ( Accelerated luminous flux depreciation test method for LED lighting products (2000 hours), PN:20132656-T-306) and a research paper (See our Tech Blog).

We provide project / consultancy service regarding to product driven acceleration test method.

The system diagnostics comprises many signal detection, industrial experience and data analysie capability. As a combination of our knowledge in SSL system reliability, we provide project / consultancy services.
